Wilkins Graduates FBI National Academy

John AndersonSeptember 13, 2022

The Abilene Police Department is proud to congratulate Assistant Chief Jason Wilkins on his graduation from the 283rd FBI National Academy Session. The FBI National Academy is a 10-week program that provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism, terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science. It improves the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and raises law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide. Assistant Chief Wilkins also achieved his “Yellow Brick” by completing the Yellow Brick Road fitness challenge, which is a grueling 6.1-mile run through a hilly, wooded trail built by the U.S. Marines. Along the way, participants must climb over walls, run through creeks, jump through simulated windows, scale rock faces with ropes, crawl under barbed wire in muddy water, maneuver across a cargo net, and more. If you see Assistant Chief Wilkins around town, please congratulate him on his accomplishment.
