Dickinson County Economic Development Corporation Announces New CEO/Director

September 5, 2025, Abilene, KS — The Dickinson County Economic Development Corporation (DKEDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Muruato as its new Chief Executive Officer/Director, with her full-time schedule starting October 1, 2025.

Muruato joins DKEDC from Clay County, where she successfully led economic development initiatives focused on rural growth, business retention, and community partnerships. With a proven track record of implementing effective rural economic development strategies, she brings fresh energy and vision to Dickinson County as the organization works to reestablish momentum and drive progress.

“We are thrilled to welcome Natalie as the new CEO/Director of DKEDC,” said Tony Geiger, Chair of the DKEDC Board of Directors. “Her experience and innovative approach to economic development will be invaluable as we continue driving Dickinson County forward. Natalie’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for our communities, our businesses, and our future.”

To celebrate her arrival and to provide the community with an opportunity to connect, DKEDC will host an Open House at DKEDC Office on Friday, October 3rd from 9-11 am. Community members, business leaders, and local partners are invited to attend and welcome Natalie to her new role.
