The Abilene Russell Stover Chocolate plant in Abilene recently donated a wide variety of school supplies to the students of Abilene, USD #435. The plant sponsored a “Department Challenge” where the department collecting the most supplies measured by weight would win a catered dinner for the members of that department. The winning department, with a collection of 66 pounds, was the Second Shift Enrolling Department. “We are always amazed and humbled by the various types of support we receive from our community,” commented Greg Brown, Superintendent of Schools. “Students in every building in our district will benefit from this generous gift! Thank you to all the employees of Russell Stover for thinking of our students and staff!”
