Central Kansas Free Fair Royalty

The Central Kansas Free Fair Royalty contest honors 4-H members who have shown outstanding leadership in the 4-H Youth Development Program. Each Dickinson County 4-H club is allowed to nominate one queen and one king candidate. Following nomination by their club, the King, Queen, and their attendants are determined based on a written application and interview process. 

The 2025 Central Kansas Free Fair Queen is Kaylee Livingston   

  • Kaylee, 17, is an 11-year member of the Fragrant Hilltoppers 4-H Club. Her favorite project is Beef, and she was awarded the 4-H Key Award in the fall. Kaylee will be a Senior at Chapman High School. She is a member of FFA, National Honor Society and plays volleyball and softball. Kaylee is the daughter of Chad & Michele Livingston. 

  

The 2025 Central Kansas Free Fair King is Eyler Holt  

  • Eyler is a nine-year member of the Detroit Ramblers 4-H Club. He is the son of Andy and Angela Holt and will be a junior at Abilene High School in the fall. Eyler’s current projects are Swine, Meat Goat, Leadership, Foods and Nutrition and Photography. He enjoys raising and showing animal projects the most and his favorite part of fair is sharing those projects with others.   

  

The Queen’s First Attendant is Reese Whitehair 

  • Reese is the daughter of David and Jenny Whitehair. She is a 10-year Member of the Navarre Boosters 4-H Club and will be a senior at Chapman High School. She is involved with several projects including Foods and Nutrition, Meat Goat, Preforming Arts, Photography and Shopping in Style. Reese has four brothers and enjoys being on the cheer team for CHS, lifeguarding at the pool and being outside with her dog, cats, and goats.   

  

The King’s First Attendant is Korbin Hackett 

  • Korbin, 15, is the son of Sean and Amanda Hackett and a proud six-year member of the Jolly Jays 4-H Club. His favorite project is showing pigs, but he also enjoys livestock judging and baking. Outside of 4-H, Korbin works as a farm hand and enjoys lifting weights.   

  

Second Attendant to the Queen is Adeline Laughlin 

  • Adeline is the daughter of Andrew and Laura Laughlin. She is an 8-year member of the Jolly Jayhawkers. She will be a sophomore this coming school year, attending Chapman High School. She is involved in the Foods & Nutrition, Swine, Visual Arts, and Leadership projects.  

  

Second Attendant to the King is Colt Dester 

  • Colt is from the Navarre Boosters 4-H Club and is going to be a Senior this year at Chapman High School. He is the son of Justin and Ashley Dester of rural Abilene. Colt enjoys fishing when he isn’t making fishing baits and lures for his business, Colt’s Handmade Baits that he started 2 years ago. Colt is enrolled in Leadership, Dairy Goats, Foods, Shooting Sports, Wildlife, and the Visual Arts projects. He enjoys creating new ideas in the kitchen that his family and even the fish find enjoyable.   

  

Assisting with the King and Queen Contest are superintendents Nicole Shrack and Marilyn Marston.   Sponsors for the King and Queen Contest include the Central Kansas Free Fair Association, belt buckles by Almost Home Realty – Shelly Crane and Kody & Becky Chase, photos by Cory Keller, and flowers by Nicole Shrack and Marilyn Marston.
