A 43-year-old Abilene was killed Tuesday following a collision on K-15 Highway at 700 Ave. in Dickinson County. According to officials, around 5:50 a.m. a 2005 Ford F150 driven by 43 year old Eric K. Skilling, , of Abilene, was headed north on the highway as a 2016 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by 54 year old Stanton N. Uffman of Greenleaf, was headed south. For an unknown reason, KHP said Skilling crossed the center line at a slight bend in the road and collided head-on with Uffman’s semi in the southbound lane. Officials said Skilling was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Uffman escaped the crash without injury.
